Organisation and governance

The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Group is owned by the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Foundation, with the purpose of promoting trade and industry in Sweden.

The foundation is financially independent, which means that we have no other owners or investors. Financing operations is thus entirely on our own merit and all profits are reinvested in the venue. The group has annual sales of about 130 million euros and 750 full-time employees (permanent, temporary, and variable hours employees). The workforce increases to about 1.200 employees per month during high season.

The venue has two entrances, Svenska Mässan (the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre) and Gothia Towers. These are also our two main brands.

The group includes three operating companies: Gothia Towers, Svenska Mässan Mässor och Möten and Bok & Bibliotek i Norden. Two property companies and two subsidiaries are also included.

Gothia Towers  operates the hotel and restaurants and organises meetings, congresses, shows and events. The Managing Director is Carin Kindbom.

Svenska Mässan Mässor och Möten  manages, creates and develops exhibitions and meeting arrangements primarily within the industry, society and lifestyle areas. The Managing Director is Ulrika Liss-Daniels. Kvalitetsmässan is a subsidiary of Svenska Mässan Mässor och Möten.

Bok & Bibliotek i Norden, manages and develops exhibitions and meeting arrangements within education, culture and media, for example Göteborg Book Fair and Göteborg Media Days. The Managing Director is Maria Källsson. Meetx is a subsidiary of Bok & Bibliotek i Norden.
