Our work for sustainability is divided into three areas
There are further focus areas within each area of the organisation. The sustainability work is carried out by committed employees from every part of the organisation.
Our work for sustainability goes back to the middle of the nineties. Since then the world has changed, and so have we.
Our sustainability work is distinguished by collaboration, commitment and our ambition to create great spaces for meetings while making room for a better world.
To ensure an international level of sustainability, we certify our meeting places in accordance to several certifications.
ISO 20121 FOR EVENTS WITH PROVEN SUSTAINABILITY
During 2015 we have worked to implement ISO 20121 standards throughout our business. The ISO 20121 certification will therefore apply to all the exhibition, meeting, hotel, and restaurant activities of the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers. Our aim is to become certified by December 2015. Read more about the certification.
BREEAM certified venue
The British environmental certification system BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s most widely used environmental classification system for buildings. Our Gothia Towers Hotel is the largest hotel in Europe to be certified in accordance with BREEAM.
