Making room for a better world

In a world full of challenges, people need to meet. To share ideas, to make new developments, to grow businesses and help cultures to flourish. Without meetings, these things couldn’t happen.

But travel, exhibitions, restaurants and stays leave an environmental footprint that we can’t ignore. So we’re taking responsibility.

When you choose us, you can feel confident in that your event, congress, trade fair or conference will live up to your sustainability standards. Our work on sustainability goes back several years and is under constant development.

We’re going to create great spaces for meetings while making room for a better world.

Welcome to our meeting place.

Our work for sustainability is divided into a number of areas

The work is conducted by committed employees across the whole business. Together we're making room for a better world.

People and environment

We wish to contribute to healthy people and a healthy environment, for which reason we actively work on areas where we have the greatest influence.

Accessibility

Everyone, regardless of their personal circumstances, should be able to visit us.

Sustainability timeline

Our work for sustainability goes back to the middle of the nineties. Since then the world has changed, and so have we.

Our sustainability work is distinguished  by collaboration, commitment and our ambition to create great spaces for meetings while making room for a better world.

Our certifications

To ensure an international level of sustainability, we certify our meeting places in accordance to several certifications.

ISO 20121 FOR EVENTS WITH PROVEN SUSTAINABILITY

During 2015 we have worked to implement ISO 20121 standards throughout our business. The ISO 20121 certification will therefore apply to all the exhibition, meeting, hotel, and restaurant activities of the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers. Our aim is to become certified by December 2015. Read more about the certification.

BREEAM certified venue

The British environmental certification system BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s most widely used environmental classification system for buildings. Our Gothia Towers Hotel is the largest hotel in Europe to be certified in accordance with BREEAM.
